This page explains how to delete your Beave account and exactly
what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the Beave
Android app published by Aktar Studio.
How to request deletion
Option 1: In the app
- Open Beave and sign in if you aren't already
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account
- Confirm the deletion
Option 2: By email
Email [email protected]
with the subject "Delete my account" from the email address
associated with your account. We'll process the request and
confirm once it's done, usually within a few days.
What gets deleted
- Your Beave sign-in account (Firebase Authentication record)
- Your profile document (display name, photo, friend code, leaderboard totals)
- Your friend connections
What is NOT currently deleted
Being upfront here rather than overstating what deletion does:
-
Chat messages you've sent to friends remain
visible in their conversation with you. Our current backend
rules don't allow message deletion at all, by you or by us,
even on request. We're aware this falls short of what people
reasonably expect from "delete my account," and we're working
on a fix. If this matters to you before that's done, avoid
sending anything in chat you wouldn't want to persist.
-
Flip Together session and invite records you
created or joined aren't currently removed.
-
Tasks, task photos, and your detailed day-by-day focus
history were never sent to us in the first place, they
live only on your device (see our
Privacy Policy). Uninstalling the app
removes them.
Retention period
Your account and profile are deleted promptly once a request is
processed, there's no extended retention window for that data.
The chat and session records described above persist until we
ship the fix mentioned; there's currently no fixed deletion
timeline for those.
